HC Deb 10 December 1970 vol 808 c161W
Mr. Rose

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what he estimates will be the cost of servicing and staffing the new National Industrial Relations Court and the extended function of industrial tribunals in the event of the passing of the Industrial Relations Bill.

Mr. Dudley Smith

The approximate costs are set out in the Financial Memorandum to the Industrial Relations Bill. They amount to about £300,000 per annum for the National Industrial Relations Court and about £1.25 million per annum for the Industrial Tribunals. If jurisdiction in respect of damages for breach of contract of employment is conferred on tribunals, the additional cost would be about £0.5 million per annum.
