§ Mr. van StraubenzeeIn the autumn of 1969 some 55,400 students started full-time and sandwich science-based courses at undergraduate level in universities or in further education institutions in Great Britain. This represents 53.6 per cent. of the total full-time student intake at this level. Corresponding figures for the three previous years are:
