§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, in view of the information sent to him by the lion. Member for West Ham, North, showing that a communication sent to the Home Office on 10th November did not receive a formal acknowledgement or receipt until the 18th November, he will take action to ensure that Members of Parliament receive more expeditious replies to their correspondence.
