asked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications whether he will issue a general direction to the Post Office to provide the same priority service for dental surgeons as is provided now for doctors in the event of telephone faults or breakdowns.

No. This is in the first instance a matter for the Post Office in accordance with the service obligations placed on it by Parliament under Section 9 of the Post Office Act, 1969, and I see no reason to intervene.
