HC Deb 07 December 1970 vol 808 c43W
Mr. Gwynoro Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many people received training in industry in Wales in the year ended March, 1970; how this compares with March, 1964; and what proportion in both years was apprentices.

Mr. Bryan

I regret that information for these particular dates is not available. It is estimated that in September, 1968, 51,000 persons in all industries and services of whom 18,000 were apprentices were receiving training in Wales.

Mr. Gwynoro Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many people received industrial training in Carmarthenshire in 1969–70; how this compares with 1963–64; and what proportion in both years was apprentices.

Mr. Bryan

I regret that this information is not available.
