HC Deb 07 December 1970 vol 808 c51W
Mr. John Wells

asked the Minister for Overseas Development what steps he is taking to ensure that managerial experience in British industry is made available to the developing countries.

Mr. Wood

Our programme of aid in this field includes a number of activities, one of which is a scheme soon to be initiated by the Institute of Directors. I decided recently to support this scheme, which will enable experienced British businessmen to make short visits overseas on an unpaid voluntary basis to help local businesses with potential for expansion to make better use of their available resources.
