§ Mr. GodberIf United Kingdom nationals take up employment abroad without official sponsorship, the terms of contract are a private matter. In the event of a breach of contract, our consuls are always ready to assist British subjects and will, if possible, try to settle disputes informally, and, if necessary, put them in touch with reputable lawyers. Failing a settlement, the only redress is through the courts.
