§ Mr. SharplesMr. Burroughs has been seconded from the Diplomatic Service at the request of the Home Office for special duty in Northern Ireland. He receives salary and allowances of £6,935 a year. The cost of his office and staff is about £20,000 a year. The United Kingdom Representative is expected to keep himself fully informed of the political life of Northern Ireland of which Parliamentary debate necessarily forms a part.
