Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science why she will not instruct her representatives on the Burnham Committee to propose that all teachers' salaries should be increased by 43 per cent., in view of the Government's action in increasing the pay of higher-paid civil servants by this amount.
