HC Deb 03 December 1970 vol 807 c471W
Mr. Chichester-Clark

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he is making to the Republic of Ireland Government about the training of men in the Republic of Ireland to make armed attacks upon United Kingdom citizens and territory; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Anthony Royle

The Irish Republic authorities have in recent weeks made a number of arrests in connection with such activities. Her Majesty's Government continue to maintain regular contact with the Government of the Irish Republic on matters of common concern; the details of these contacts must, of course, remain confidential.
