§ 82. Sir E. Bullusasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what consultations he has had with the Government of the United States of America with a view to arranging reciprocal benefits under the National Health scheme for the respective nationals of each country.
§ Mr. DeanThere is at present no scope for a reciprocal arrangement between the National Health Service and the United States schemes of hospital insurance and medical insurance for pensioners and elderly people. Apart from a system of medical assistance for poor people, these two insurance schemes are the only United States Government schemes providing medical or hospital treatment.
