HC Deb 03 December 1970 vol 807 c444W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why he will not seek to amend the Registered Charities Act to regulate the profits being made by private firms from charitable donations, in view of the evidence now available of the abuse being practised by these firms and individuals.

Mr. Carlisle

I am not aware of any evidence of abuse in this matter. If the hon. Member has any particular case in mind, he may wish to bring it to the notice of the Charity Commissioners.
