§ 42. Mr. James Johnsonasked the Minister for the Civil Service whether he has yet completed his studies upon the location of Civil Service staff in Central London; and which staff he intends to locate outside London in the light of his regional policy.
§ Mr. David HowellAs indicated in the White Paper on the Reorganisation of Central Government (Cmnd. 4506), the first phase of the study should take about a year. The Government will then decide which blocks of work in the Departments studied need to remain in London and which can be located elsewhere.
