HC Deb 02 December 1970 vol 807 cc405-6W
Mr. Roper

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what was the cost

Lancashire County Council, Denton Urban District and Audenshaw Urban District Council for 1967–68, 1968–69, 1969–70 and 1970–71; and what will be the grants for 1971–72 and 1972–73.

Mr. Michael Heseltine

The latest estimates of the rate support grants for these local authorities for the years from 1967–68 to 1970–71 are as follows:

of servicing the English regional economic planning councils in 1969.

Mr. Graham Page

It is not practicable to isolate the costs of servicing the economic planning councils—the members of which receive no remuneration other than the £750 per annum honorarium to the chairman—since this work is only a part of the wider activities of the regional offices of all those Departments concerned with economic planning for the regions.
