HC Deb 02 December 1970 vol 807 c411W
Sir G. Sinclair

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he is yet able to announce the result of his review of night jet movements at Gatwick; and whether he will now impose a limit.

Mr. Noble

After extensive consultations with all interested parties, and impartial scientific advice from outside, I have decided that night jet movements at Gatwick shall be limited between 1st April and 31st October, to 4,950 movements between midnight and 6 a.m. in 1971 and the same number between 11.30 p.m. and 6 a.m. in 1972.
