§ Mr. Fauldsasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what consideration the Government have given to the call of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe to study and to prepare a Ministerial Conference on the Environment.
§ Mr. Anthony RoyleI understand that the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe has already decided to hold a Ministerial Conference on the environment in late 1972 or in 1973. Her Majesty's Government see advantage in it being held at a time when it will have been able to take full account of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment due to take place in June, 1972. Her Majesty's Government intend to prepare fully for this Conference, and propose to play an active part in it.
