HC Deb 01 December 1970 vol 807 cc367-8W
Mr. Tom Boardman

asked the Minister for Overseas Development whether Her Majesty's Government accept the recommendations of the executive directors described in the International Development Association announcement of 22nd July, 1970 on the replenishment of the resources of the International Development Association.

Mr. Wood

Yes. A Command Paper is being published today setting out the Report of the Executive Directors to the Board of Governors, dated 21st July, 1970, and the draft Resolution to give effect to a replenishment of approximately $2,439 million. The United Kingdom will contribute $103.68 million in each of the next three years. The United Kingdom Governor will vote in favour of this Resolution.

A draft Order under the Overseas Aid Act, 1968 will be laid in due course for the approval of the House authorising these further payments after the Resolution has been adopted.
