HC Deb 01 December 1970 vol 807 c317W
43. Mr. Crawshaw

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the result of his consideration of the cost of providing the disabled with a normal type car as opposed to the three-wheeled vehicle currently supplied.

Mr. Alison

This point is one of those that will be taken into account in the review of the invalid vehicle service which my right hon. Friend is pursuing and I cannot anticipate the outcome of this review.

44. Sir J. Langford-Holt

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will seek to arrange that all new designs of vehicles introduced for use on the road by disabled drivers will be tested and examined by the Institute of Advanced Motorists.

Mr. Alison

No. But we will continue to consult interested organisations, including the Institute, when appropriate.
