HC Deb 01 December 1970 vol 807 c332W
87. Rev. Ian Paisley

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what tonnage of animal feedingstuffs was sent from Great Britain to Northern Ireland in the years 1968, 1969 and to the most convenient date in 1970; what was the retail price per ton in Great Britain of these feeding stuffs; and what was the increase in retail price per ton as the result of shipment to Northern Ireland.

Mr. Anthony Stodart

The tonnage of animal feeding stuffs sent from Great Britain to Northern Ireland was 180,000 tons in 1968, 117,000 tons in 1969 and 45,000 tons up to the end of September this year. Since these totals cover a wide variety of feedingstuffs it is not possible to specify retail prices in Great Britain or Northern Ireland without a disproportionate amount of effort.
