asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many suicides occurred, and how many attempted suicides known to him were made, per 10,000 of the population in the constituency of Smethwick and the county borough of Warley, respectively, during 1968.

Information is not available regarding numbers of attempted suicides, nor separately for the constituency of Smethwick. In 1968 twelve deaths were assigned to suicide in the county borough of Warley, a rate of 0.71 per 10,000 population.
