asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity if she will state the number of pay claims referred to the National Board for Prices and Incomes since 1st January this year.

Mrs. Castle:

No claims have been referred but there have been five references concerned with pay in particular industries, of which three covered prices as well as pay.
