§ Mr. Hugh Jenkinsasked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity whether, in view of staff shortages which are causing deterioration in London Transport bus services and on the District line, she will refer the wages of staff concerned to the National Board for Prices and Incomes so that a scheme to attract staff from areas of high unemployment may be introduced.
§ Mr. Harold Walker:No. My right hon. Friend has recently approved pay settlements for London Transport staffs which should help to attract and retain staff.
