HC Deb 30 April 1970 vol 800 cc382-3W
64. Mr. Wall

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what consultations he has had with other Governments regarding the recognition by Her Majesty's Government of the new Government of Lesotho, in view of the fact that no other country has withdrawn recognition.

Mr. Foley:

We are in contact through diplomatic channels with other Governments and have answered inquiries from some of them regarding our relations with Lesotho. These relations have been tinder review, since we have not been satisfied that the new regime in Lesotho meets our normal criteria for recognition.
