HL Deb 30 April 1970 vol 309 cc1239-40WA
LORD BETHELL

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether it is still their view that the House of Lords should be reformed along the general lines of the White Paper of November, 1968.

THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (LORD SHACKLETON)

My Lords, while Her Majesty's Government have not changed their opinion on the Tightness of the proposals contained in the White Paper, they have no immediate proposals for implementing them. The matter will, in due course, require further consideration.

House adjourned at eight minutes past ten o'clock.
