HC Deb 30 April 1970 vol 800 cc389-90W
Mr. John Lee

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government on how many occasions during the last financial year he has made representations to local authorities regarding the inadequacy of their house construction programmes; and in how many instances have the councils so addressed amended their programmes.

Mr. Freeson:

With regard to the first half of my hon. Friend's Question, I would refer him to the reply given to my hon. Friend the Member for Carlisle (Mr. Ron Lewis) on 2nd March.

Further discussions with these authorities are now being held at officer level, and it is hoped to assess the results of the meetings soon.— [Vol. 790, c. 3–4.]
