Q10. Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Prime Minister whether, now that the commencement of negotiations for Great Britain's entry into the European Economic Community is imminent, he will appoint the Minister without Portfolio additionally to Great Britain's team of negotiators.

As I made clear in reply to a Question from the hon. Member for Acton (Mr. Kenneth Baker) on 22nd January all Ministers with relevant responsibilities are already, and will remain, in close touch with my right hon. Friends the Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary and the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster on all matters affecting our entry into the E.E.C.— [Vol. 794, c. 690–3.]
