HC Deb 29 April 1970 vol 800 c327W
Mr. Hooley

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will propose in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development that the terms of the Understanding on Export Credits for Ships be modified to provide soft credit terms for developing countries.

Mr. Mason:

No. The Understanding limits only the terms for commercial credit. It does not prevent soft terms being provided to developing countries for genuine aid reasons.
