Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what consultations he has had, or proposes to have, on trade with the Commonwealth Governments of New Zealand and Australia and, in particular, the effect on their trade with the United Kingdom of variable import levies on agricultural products.

Mr. Hoy:

The Government are already in continuing touch with other Commonwealth Governments, including Australia and New Zealand, about matters affecting their trade with the United Kingdom.
