HC Deb 29 April 1970 vol 800 cc353-4W
Mr. Judd

asked the Minister for the Civil Service whether he will make a statement on the National Board for Prices and Incomes report on the pay of industrial civil servants, including those in naval dockyards.

Mr. Shore:

Report No. 146 by the National Board for Prices and Incomes on the pay of the industrial civil service is published today. The Government welcome the recommendations on the procedure for central pay determination as a basis for early negotiations with the trade union side. There are also a number of wider-ranging and longer-term recommendations which will require detailed study by the Civil Service Department and the Departments which employ industrial civil servants.
