§ 77. Mr. Macdonaldasked the Secretary of State for Defence what facilities exist for Press and broadcasting journalists and their apparatus to enter the base at Caerwent; and who determines which shall be admitted and which excluded.
§ Mr. Hattersley:Facilities for representatives of the news media are available in the non-operational areas of the depot. Requests for such facilities are considered jointly by the R.A.F. and U.S. Commanders, or by the Ministry of Defence and the appropriate U.S. authority, and none has been refused. No facilities can be made available in the operational areas.
