HC Deb 29 April 1970 vol 800 cc357-8W
Mr. Channon

asked the Minister of Public Building and Works to what purpose he is putting the Arts Council's former premises at 4, St. James's Square; and what plans he has for the future of this building.

Mr. Loughlin:

The main rooms are used for official conferences, meetings, examinations and interviews; this use will continue. Occasional evening use of the Great Drawing Room, for a small fee, is granted to those Societies accus- tomed to this facility when the building was occupied by the Arts Council.

The small rooms at the back, near Babmaes Street, offer poor accommodation; the future use of this part of the building is under review.
