HC Deb 28 April 1970 vol 800 cc263-4W
33. Mr. Brooks

asked the Minister of Transport whether he has now received objections from the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board to the proposed high-level crossing of the Mersey proposed by the Merseyside Land Use and Transportation Study; and if he will carry out studies, using tidal or mathematical models, to show the effect upon estuarine silting of future high-level or alternative low-level crossings of the Mersey below Widnes.

Mr. Murray

We have received no such objections. In any event this is a matter for the local authorities, and I understand that they are already cooperating with the board on preliminary technical studies.
