§ 79. Sir S. Summersasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will give an assurance that, before authorising the Land Commission to acquire land by compulsory purchase order for building purposes at Chesham, a public inquiry will be held at which objections can be freely stated.
§ Mr. Denis HowellThe draft compulsory purchase order has not yet been formally submitted to my right hon. Friend. He will decide then whether or not to hold a public inquiry. At present it does seem that one will be necessary.
