Mr. John Hallasked the Minister of Technology if he is aware that the Airmec Division of Plessey Numerical Controls Limited at High Wycombe will be closed down; and if, in view of the 201W fact that this decision will result in the loss of skilled staff, he will seek to ensure continued employment for those affected.
§ Mr. Varley:I understand that Plessey Numerical Controls Limited is planning to undertake its main production at Alexandria, Dunbartonshire, and is currently examining how this will affect employment at High Wycombe; but that there is no question of immediate loss of jobs there.
