HC Deb 27 April 1970 vol 800 c212W
Mr. Geoffrey Lloyd

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what plans he has for co-ordinating on a national or regional basis measures for the rehabilitation of persons suffering from severe head injuries; if he will consult with the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity and representatives of local authority associations on this matter; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Crossman:

A sub-committee of my Standing Medical Advisory Committee is currently considering the future provision of rehabilitation services in the National Health Service. Its recommendations may be expected to embrace the particular requirements of persons suffering from severe head injuries. I will consider what consultations are required when I receive its report.
