HC Deb 27 April 1970 vol 800 cc203-4W
Mr. Gwynfor Evans

asked the Minister of Technology what was the average amount of assistance to industry per head of the population in 1967–68 and 1968–69 for the Northern Region of England and Wales, respectively; and what is his estimate for 1969–70.

Mr. Varley:

There are only minor differences between the boundaries of the North Region and the Northern Development Area, apart from the inclusion in the latter of the Furness peninsula.
