§ Mr. Henigasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will take steps to review the education and future purpose of the veterinary profession in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. Cledwyn Hughes:Yes. My right hon. Friends and I received proposals to this effect from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. We intend to establish a Committee of Inquiry
to consider and report on the future role and educational needs of the veterinary profession in the United Kingdom; and to make recommendations".I shall be announcing the name of the Chairman as soon as possible.
