§ Mr. Gwynfor Evansasked the Secretary of State for Wales what representations he has now had in regard to public subsidies to maintain rural bus services; and what advice he has given to local authorities which are concerned.
§ Mr. George Thomas:I have had representations from various local authorities. In two cases I have agreed to pay grant. In other cases I have asked the local authorities to provide details of the need to subsidise the service so that the case can be considered if necessary before a general code of guidance to local authorities is issued.
