HC Deb 23 April 1970 vol 800 c163W
Mr. Gwynfor Evans

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what representations he has now had in regard to public subsidies to maintain rural bus services; and what advice he has given to local authorities which are concerned.

Mr. George Thomas:

I have had representations from various local authorities. In two cases I have agreed to pay grant. In other cases I have asked the local authorities to provide details of the need to subsidise the service so that the case can be considered if necessary before a general code of guidance to local authorities is issued.
