asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether, in view of Mr. Ian Smith's recent policy on the status of Rhodesia, he will take further action to ensure eventual democratic majority rule in Rhodesia.

Mr. Luard:

What is needed is not additional measures but the more rigorous implementation by all members of the United Nations of the Security Council Resolutions on Rhodesia, including No. 277 which was adopted on 18th March.
