asked the Prime Minister what discussions he now intends to have with heads of Governments of European Free Trade Association countries with regard to Great Britain's application to join the European Economic Community; and if he will make a statement.

The Prime Minister:

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer I gave to a supplementary question by the right hon. Member for Orkney and Shetland (Mr. Grimond) on 7th April. The House will wish to know that my right hon. Friends the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and the President of the Board of Trade will be attending a Ministerial meeting of E.F.T.A. at Geneva on 14th and 15th May.—[Vol. 799, c. 239.]
