HC Deb 20 April 1970 vol 800 c59W
Mr. Lane

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what study he has made of the social effects likely of the compulsory comprehensivation of all maintained secondary schools in England and Wales; and if he will summarise them.

Mr. Edward Short:

None. It would be impossible to mount a study in advance of the social effects of a policy which has yet to be implemented.
