HC Deb 20 April 1970 vol 800 c6W
22. Mr. Dempsey

asked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications if he will introduce amending legislation to the Post Office Acts which will make it an offence to supply primary school children with pornographic literature; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Pentland:

No. The 1953 Post Office Act already prohibits the sending by post of indecent or obscene matter to all classes of recipient, including children.
