asked the Minister for the Civil Service if he will report on the progress to date and work done by the Mallabar Committee; and if he will list the present members of the Committee.

Mr. Shore:

The Mallabar Committee has completed its examination of the Ministry of Defence Royal Ordnance Factories and is currently studying the Royal Dockyards. The Membership of the Committee is as follows:

Sir John Mallabar (Chairman).

Mr. A. P. Coldrick, Transport Salaried Staffs' Association.

Mr. J. R. Edwards, C.B.E., J.P., Associated Engineering Ltd., Carrier Engineering Co. Ltd., Harland and Wolff Ltd., Joseph Lucas Industries Ltd.

Mr. K. A. B. Moore, Reckitt and Colman (Overseas) Ltd.

Mr. R. O'Brien, Delta Metal Co. Ltd., Rod Division.

Miss Joan Woodward, Professor of Industrial Sociology, Imperial College of Science and Technology.

In addition the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Technology and the Civil Service Department are represented by senior officials. There have been no changes in membership.
