HC Deb 20 April 1970 vol 800 cc48-9W
Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what Government assistance has been given to Ayr County Council for land rehabilitation schemes under the Industrial Development Act, 1966; and if he will specify the projects undertaken and their cost.

Mr. Ross:

Work is in progress on schemes at Mossblown bing, Tarbolton, and at Nith Bridge, New Cumnock, at estimated costs of £15,200 and £69,000 respectively. A scheme at Riccarton Road, Hurlford, has also been approved at an estimated cost of £4,000.

These three schemes will attract grants at the rate of 85 per cent. of the net costs, and advances amounting to £28,110 have been made so far.
