HC Deb 16 April 1970 vol 799 c276W
Mr. Eadie

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity what is the total levy expected from hairdressing establishments in Scotland as a consequence of the setting up of the Industrial Training Board for that industry; and what form of representation Scotland has on this board.

Mr. Dell

The Hairdressing and Allied Services Industry Training Board was set up as recently as last December. Administrative expenses during its first year are being met by the Department in the normal way. It is too early to say what the board's levy proposals for subsequent years are likely to be.

Three out of fourteen board members are from Scotland representing, respectively, the interests of employers, employees and education.
