HC Deb 16 April 1970 vol 799 cc282-3W
Q6. Mr. Brooks

asked the Prime Minister what steps he proposes to take to ensure that the British people are given an opportunity to pronounce on the question of British entry into the European Economic Community.

The Prime Minister

I would refer my hon. Friend to what I said in reply to supplementary questions by the hon. Member for Banbury (Mr. Marten) and my hon. Friend the Member for Watford (Mr. Raphael Tuck) on 25th November, 1969. It is the Government's policy to give both the House and the public all the available information as we tried to do in Command Paper 4289.—[Vol. 792, c. 199–200.]
