Selective Employment Tax

Mr. David Mitchell

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) whether, in view of the fact that the building industry and the cost of new houses are adversely affected by selective employment tax, he will now take steps to exempt the industry from selective employment tax;

(2) whether he will now consider taking steps to exempt from payment of selective employment tax employees who are registered disabled.
