HC Deb 13 April 1970 vol 799 c157W
56. Mr. Tom Boardman

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if, in view of the unjustified fears as to the prevalence of the disease, he will reconsider his request to local authorities not to publish the number of cases of leprosy in their areas.

Dr. John Dunwoody

It is the existence of fears about the disease which makes it undesirable that any information should be made public which might allow patients to be identified.
