Mr. Ridley

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will set out for each year since its inception the water rate charged by the Cotswold Water Board, and the total revenue of the board from charges and rates.

The board under the terms of the Cotswold Water Board Order 1961 is obliged to operate differential water rates in the area of the Cirencester Urban District and the North Cotswold Rural District. The water rates and charges levied during the years 1961–62 to 1969–70 and those levied this year are given in table A.

The income and expenditure of the board for the last complete 9 years is given in table B.

At the 31st March, 1970, the board's estimated deficit was £26,804.
