§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer why he has prevented the British public from participating in the 4¾per cent. loan issued by the illegal régime in Rhodesia on Tuesday, 2nd April, 1970; and whether he will now take steps to ensure that all investors are treated in the same manner so far as stocks, shares, securities and loans originating in Rhodesia are concerned.
§ Mr. TaverneUnder the policy of economic sanctions United Kingdom residents are not permitted to make new investments in Rhodesia. Rhodesian securities already in the hands of United Kingdom residents are another matter.
